NEW CORILLA: Matin-Ao Inland Resort

After months of getting awol from my motorcycle friends, I finally had the time to join the group’s monthly rides. It’s been awhile since I took the road off with these awesome friends so I never hesitated to join them the time they tried to invite me ‘again’ for some weekend fun ride.

It was our pre-summer weekend getaway at Matin-Ao Inland resort - a mountain spring resort nesting in a forested part of the Municipality of New Corilla, Davao Del Norte.

All along I thought it’ll just be the usual ‘inland resorts’ I have been to but as we arrived, I was impressed with the landscaping of the whole resort. It was creatively tamed to have you the feeling of excitement to roam and explore the whole resort. It was by far the best inland resort I visited this year.

4 feet deep pool

3 feet deep kiddie pool with two slides

7 feet deep adult pool

There are at least 7 pools with different sizes and depths, 5 of which was covered with roof nets and plants to give you a fresher ambiance while you're busy swimming.

C shaped mixed kiddie and adult pool. those with mushroom shades are the kiddie pool at 2 feet deep

new swimming pools for a bigger crowd. 4feet and the deepest, 10 feet pool

Two additional pools are now open to accommodate bigger crowd. their newest was the 10 feet deep swimming pool with the 4 feet pool subdivided into 3 parts for the kiddos at 2 feet deep.

The resort has amenities like billiard hall, basketball court, videoke machine, grilling station, close and open cottages, a store, mini resto, function hall and surprisingly, a clinic. Yes! they have a clinic with a registered nurse on standby ready to help you at any time of the day.
