Maximum Fun at Maxima Aqua Fun, Samal Island
In an island like IGACOS famed to have long strips of pristine fine white sand beaches, it would be unusual to hear a resort nestling in a boulder setting such as Maxima Aqua Fun Resort. What seems to be an unideal place to cater beach lover folks has turned to be the home of the best water sports activities in the region that both beach bummers and adrenaline junkies like me would surely love.
I was tired from the ecstatic journey we had a day before, but I managed to keep my excitement high as we descended from the peak of Mt. Puting Bato, knowing that I am about to experience the best summer-ender getaway this year at Maxima Aqua Fun.
As early as 8am, we excitedly traverse the way back to Peña Plata to have our breakfast. Around 10am we meet Mr. Allan Cayacay Acero - operations manager/marketing of Maxima Aqua Fun - who gave us a brief info and history about how the resort had started and what’s their future developments to look forward to. After the short discussion, it’s time to experience the awe-mazing watersports activities the resort is taking pride of.
I have been planning a trip to this resort for the nth time already, but I just cannot make it realize. Now, time made its way to make it happen, together with my #weekendwarriors gang. Anticipating the thrilling sets of events we are about to do, we hastily put our life vests on (because no one is allowed to swim without life vests! Boo) and marched our way to our first agere. I have to admit, I lack courage especially when it comes to doing extreme activities and witnessing my friends freaking screaming while sliding from the 40 meters super slide all the way down to the 120 feet deep blue sea makes me shiver, but in a good way (I know you know that song). I know they are having so much fun, enough to erase the fears I have in mind. I’m no chicken! I cheered to myself. The moment I went on sitting at the tip of the super slide, I knew there’s no turning back. What happened next was like that of my first kiss. I was anxious at first, then everything went out pleasuring and fulfilling. It was brief but tender; the moment I immersed into the depth, I ended up wanting more. Nakakaadik pala…….ang super slide ng Maxima!
Next is the water blob. Water blobbing is an outdoor water activity in which a participant sits on the end of a partially inflated airbag (known as a water trampoline or blob) and is launched into the water when another participant jumps onto the airbag from a platform on the opposite side. This water sport activity is far more thrilling and exciting than the super slide. Trust me, I experienced it myself. And it is extremely addicting! Just like my first kiss! A little tip though, when you try this, be sure that your partner (the one probably jumping at the other end) should be heavy enough to give you a much higher leap. The higher you float into the air, the more intense the drop will be. Isn't it exciting?

Just try. Have fun. And enjoy the ride. There's no age limit of being a kid, so bring out the kiddie side of you and you will have the best time of your life. That's exactly what we did while we are on board the banana boat. I jumped. and jumped, and jumped like maneuvering a horse, as if it will make some sense. We screamed out as loud as we can like a child on the loose. The feeling was nirvana, so addicting, so thrilling and so memorable. Yeah! We are having so much fun under the sun. And that priceless smile captured will be a piece of memory we will forever cherish when we get older. Would you want to miss that kind of experience?

We spent less than 3 hours at Maxima Aqua Fun, but that is enough to create priceless memories that will forever be kept in our entire being. All thanks to Mr. Philip Dizon for giving us this opportunity to experience maximum fun at Maxima Aqua Fun. And to Mr. Allan Cayacay for accommodating us despite your busy schedule. It was indeed an awe-mazing way to end my summer :)
