Lakawero Meets Prony the Python at Bohol

March 25, 2013 , , 0 Comments

Bohol province was blessed with so many attractions, heritages and tourist destinations. It was in fact known as the first class province in Central Visayas according to wiki. And, adding up to the numerous places to visit is Bohol’s very own Prony.

I was given the chance to be up-close and personal with Prony right inside her cage at Alburquerque, Bohol. Who’s Prony by the way? Prony was said to be the world’s biggest and longest python in captivity and meeting her is an honor. ^_~

To the Highlands of Mt. Tawan-tawan, Baguio District

One of the most unforgettable trips I had last year. The unexpected trip to the remote uphill barangay of Tawan-Tawan, Baguio District makes me feel closer to nature's pure bliss.

Tawan-Tawan is a remote barangay in Baguio District. It is known to be the boundary of Mt. Apo protected watershed area. One of its hidden gems is the tawan-tawan waterfalls which is also a tributary to the Davao River and other major rivers in Davao Region.

An encounter with nature at Hagimit Falls

March 19, 2013 , , 0 Comments

After I got the invitation from one of my High School friend/band mate Vik, I immediately fixed my schedules and packed up my things for a one whole day of joyride adventure at Samal Island. We headed towards Peña Plata, a district of Samal where the famous Hagimit Falls was located.

This isn’t the first time I’ll be in Hagimit Falls but it’s been a while since the last time I got into this natural bliss of nature. The surrounding got its share of lush Hagimit trees which serves as a natural shade from the heat of the sun. That’s where they got the name of the falls by the way.

Exciting Rides at Maryrose Grand Carnival

March 19, 2013 , 3 Comments

After taking part of the ‘Parada Dabawenyo’ event of the 76th Araw ng Dabaw, I'm at loss on where to go next. I was thinking of experiencing something new that’s extremely fun and exciting but I can’t think of any destination that fits those other than Mary Rose Carnival in Matina. ^_~

Carnivals are present during festive events such as the Araw ng Dabaw month long celebration where Mary Rose Carnival isn’t 'new' in the city during such event. Mary Rose was considered as the ‘mini’ Enchanted Kingdom by some locals and visitors with its exciting and thrilling rides.

Araw ng Davao 2013 - Parada Dabawenyo

Happy 76th Araw ng Dabaw to all!! It's Nueva Vergara's 76th founding anniversary last saturday (March 16, 2013). I was one of the thousands of Davaoeños who witnessed the final day celebration of 76th Araw ng Davao's "Parada Dabawenyo" at Roxas Avenue. ^_~

It was totally a new experience for me since it's my first time to go downtown to celebrate the City's yearly historic event. The colorful parade started at around 7am along Roxas avenue all the way to San Pedro Street. See some of the photos I've taken during this historic event below.

Precious Garden Resort, Samal

I have been saving bucks for my new Panasonic Lumix LX7 camera, the reason why I was not able to do some trips and reviews for the past couple of weeks. And so just to keep this blog updated, I've done some backtracking then realized I wasn't able to transfer this post from my old blog, so here's some update..

I was lucky to become part of a very innovative and aggressive group of entrepreneurs that conducts a quarterly team buildings to fully enhanced our knowledge and skills about handling business. It was my privilege to attend this unique training held at Precious Garden Resort at Samal. ^_~
