The Peak - Hidden Beauty of Gmall
The first time I was able to visit The Peak is when it was still on its opening days (2011) where in only few tenants are there to cater the crowd. Fountains isn't fully functioning and surrounding developments is yet to be finished.
I am just one of the many davaoeƱos who witnessed the dramatic changes that takes place in this so called 'land cruise ship' of Davao. More tenants are filling the empty slots in the area, making Gaisano Mall of Davao's alfresco livelier and more stunning.
In this post, I just want to take a look back of what I have gotten during the first few weeks of this new dining spot. As the giant (Ayala) came in to put up a classy mall (Abreeza) in the metro way back 2011, Gmall has stepped up and converted its rooftop into a new tourist destination and dining haven..
The Peak is situated at the carpark area of G-mall. It offers a nice vantage point to see the City's emerging skyline. The Peak is the perfect place if you want to have a quality time with your family, friends and etc. Dining spots is just around you so it is very convenient for your side.
Photos below are some few shots I had last 2011. It's pretty old and over-edited (I hope it's the right term. lol). Taken from a point and shoot camera.
It's almost 2 years and I have seen fantastic improvements not just at The Peak but also to the mall itself. The Gaisanos did a great job on maintaining its pride as the number one shopping destination in town. If you are planning to visit Davao City, you should include 'The Peak' on your list of places to visit. Recommended time is at 5PM onward for you to be able to see the different lighting of the fountain (that adds drama to this enchanting place). ^_^
